Fallen Star

It wasn't finished in a flash...on the contrary. She could have counted the hours, days, ages that passed. Each moment was a tormenting agony, searing pain through her body, and her mind.
"It hurts...so much..."
No response. Her body was broken, perhaps even beyond heal. It was hard to breath. Each loaf of air was more painfull than the last.
"...It hurts..."
The pain was too much, and she had no way to shelter herself. Each time she atempted to hide her conscience, to protect herself in the midst of her mind, another strike would wake her, and the pain would intensify.
Her tears blured her eyes, and she felt herself being pulled into darkness. Her last thoughts, were for her friends...
